The OSD is pretty horrible, and I notice some ghosting on fast moving text using the HDR preset. Other than that I have no real complaints. I am using it for school/work. The main reason for purchase was usb c support. I was able to get my laptop to output 4k 60 with HDR over the single included usb C cable. I am also doing gig ethernet, mouse and kb, a headset, and a usb 3 hub over the single usb C cable. My laptop has a usb 3.2 gen 2 (10gbs) port, no thunderbolt. I can also charge the laptop with it.
I game on my 60Hz 1920x1200 monitor all the time no issues... I think only snobs really say they see a difference, cause I do FPS to just about everything else just fine when it comes to game types. That being said your ideal setup is what I am exactly thinking about doing 2 60hz and a future 120hz+ just to have in the center. This looks like a really good deal, if it survives till tomorrow morning I will jump on it.
It's ok to admit if you can't see or feel the difference, it's definitely not snobby. But gaming from a 60hz -> 144hz -> 240hz display for 15 years; the biggest difference was definitely jumping to the 120-165hz area.
Anything else (240+) would be getting into pro area. Even my jump from to 240hz wasn't as discernible as I thought it would be.

That will depend on if your laptop can drive a 4k monitor. if so, this would certainly be clearer for your work. Per my ai assistant: Comparing these two, a 24-inch 1080p monitor has a lower PPI of approximately 91.79, while a 28-inch 4K monitor has a higher PPI of approximately 157.29. This difference means that the 4K monitor will have a sharper, more detailed image with less visible pixelation at a normal viewing distance.

I did notice people asking about the low brightness before I purchased it. However, it seems to be plenty bright for me. PC World measured 413 nits in SDR; 443 peak in HDR; https://www.pcworld.com/article/7...eview.html
Is there something special about these monitors? Like is it for color grading or something? I see the word CrystalPro and I assume it is for professionals.

No, it's a pretty basic panel. I think it even falls short of 100% sRGB. Fine for basic work, not professional work.
1 - Does the monitor have AMD Freesync or Nvidia G-Sync?
2 - Is the monitor easy to rotate to landscape from portrait mode?
3 - How's the build quality? Does if feel cheap or solidly built? Is the fit and finish decent?
I'm thinking about buying this as a document/reading screen in a multimonitor setup and the specs look quite decent for that purpose.
Buying this at Target would be the best option in my opinion as you get 5% off ($7.35) with Target's Red Card. I'm going to do some further research before buying though; just hope the deal doesn't become dead before I make my decision...

Bought it. Been looking at upgrading my 1080p monitor for school use and with redcard there is a slight discount. Sold and shipped by Monoprice and is about $62 cheaper than their own website.
