I threw out all of my wire nuts and exclusively use these. Yes they are expensive, don't care. You KNOW that you have a solid connection. It makes working on something hot much safer. Once you have isolated your hot and put it in the wago, you are good to go.

HD must have only recently started selling these are the only places I have seen them are Amazon and Ebay.

nice to see these at HD. Found out about these a few years ago and bought a 100 pack of the 2 wire for about $10 more per box

I saw these in a fan kit that i purchased. Much safer and peace of mind than a wire nut. Love these absolutely. They are a game changer for sure.

FYI, this is the regular price all the time, so I wouldn't call this a deal. I was in need a few ASAP a few months back and even though it would've been better to get this, I opted for a worse deal for $10 from Amazon due to urgency and the ability to get it it sooner. These exact ones were the same price (or possibly a lil cheaper by $1 or $2, can't remember) way back in June/July. Good post for awareness I guess, but just my 2 cents.

Of course, Wago is the name brand when you think of push connectors, but their competition is now equal to their quality. You guys are going to be really sad when you have a bunch of these laying around and can't use them because they can only take 2 wires. If you are just stocking up for future, ideal's in-sure's are the way to go. $.01 more a connector however they have 4 ports. You can also use your fluke test lead to release the wires if you mess up.

Might be a good deal on the Ideal 4-port push connectors, but push is less versatile than the levers.

These wagos are the 221-412 which only allows for 24-12 gauge wire if anyone cares about that. While the newer version is 221-612 which allows for 20-10 gauge. All in all this deal is a good deal as a 100 pack is usually around $40.
Are the 221-612 much bigger? I have some 3-way WAGOs for up to 10 gauge but they're a fair bit bigger than the ones for 12 gauge. Can make a big difference when you've got an overstuffed box.

This is a great product. Takes much less room than the old wire nuts, which is important when putting smart switches into a box designed to skinny dumb switches.

I can't imagine much use for the 2-wire version, though. I bought a combo pack or 2, 3, 5 wire and that works well for me.

only reason to use lever is for stranded wire because the ideal ones are only for solid wire. Says it works on stranded wire but it's a pita and not secure at all

For what it is worth, I got these on July 10th 2023 for 22.98. Seems like they drop in this price range pretty often. Also, the 3 wire ones are more useful as far as needing 100s of them. 2 wire have somewhat limited usage.

There are two versions not a new and an old. The 221-6xx are MUCH bigger.

Yea. I stick with the smaller ones for the general household use. Gets too tight in boxes.

Nice deal--although already have "enough" of these to last me quite a while.

(If anyone wants to buy some traditional wire nuts, I have a significant collection I'd be willing to let go pretty cheap...LOL)

I would cut this person out of your life. Their warped sense of reality can only lead to trouble 😂

I guess if you are a pro and your wire nut game is on point they can be comparable, but like half the time I wire a wire nut (especially stranded) it comes apart when pulling on it.
Trick is to strip the stranded wire about 50% longer than your Romex, gives it more grab
