The trick is to never hook up a "smart" TV to the Internet. Use an Apple TV or Roku streaming box and use HDMI-CEC so that streamer remote ID is all you need to jump straight to your input. Tweak your picture settings once and then hide the TV remote.

Costco usually has longer warranty, my old Hisense broken with 3 years. Costco would have huge return inventory.

My Samsung Q70 broke right about 3 years, so HiSense isn't that much worse (though cheaper).
