Good prices, the U7k is the sweet spot for price and quality. This is inevitably going to be asked, the U75k is just Costco's version, which undoubtedly is the same as all other versions (but better warranty, which is worth something). The promo is literally worthless to me, but you can always use it to test settings or ... something. They never give good games in these promos, give me AoE or something next time!

Agreed... but it was not YMMV - it was just somewhat short-lived as they sold out relatively quickly. Neighbor got one a couple hours after I mentioned it to them.
It was YMMV because it was in-store only, and not all stores had it (mine didn't). Great deal if you got one.

Other than moving or shipping to a different zip, no.

I've had my eyes on this TV for awhile and unfortunately it says unavailable for my zip code and I first checked early this morning. Maybe it'll show up later sometime.

It was? Are we talking about the deal on October 9th?

My neighbor got theirs online/shipped. No in-store involved.

Digital Trends mentioned the 75 is IPS in their review

I actually want an IPS panel...wonder what the viewing angles are like thats the easiest test.

Heh was about to buy the 86" lg ur8000.. so many tv choices this year.
I did. I'm conflicted about swapping for this one.

On one hand, I love the 86" but I do think this likely has slightly better PQ...

What a time to be buying TVs eh..?

I guess maybe we buy both and put one on front of the toilet? Seems like a good plan but haven't consulted my wife yet..

So can anyone confirm that it is indeed a 3 year warranty? Looking at the 55" and 65" pages, it says 2 year warranty at the top and bottom, but 3 year warranty in another location.

Just installed one last night , an upgrade from a ~ 2017 X900E Sony 4k HDR panel.

The reviewers are right about the performance / dollar. Excellent color, brightness, contrast.

I'm impressed by the upgraded clarity & noise reduction features. I usually turn most of those off, but on the Hisense they perform very well with negligible loss in quality & sharpness. Particularly the gradient smoothing , motion mouthing & noise reduction.

The UI is smooth & usable (2 GB ram, ~ 32 GB storage, ?? CPU),there are a notable improvements & tweaks to Google TV UI like the bottom menu which lets you add custom quick-access controls for brightness, ambient sensor, color etc.

The HiSense does produce a lot of telemetry traffic, so route DNS through an adblocker . That's true for most TVs and HiSense does let you disable Automated Content Monitoring (screen capture).

Use the RTings TV Size to Room Size calculator to target 30º FOV. I went for about 32º and cinema is about 40º

At $900 it feels like a steal .

In for one. I felt comfortable buying one after doing my homework. $900 shipped with Costco's return policy and warranty is a great deal. Can't wait to hook it up.

Is it worth the extra $400 for the 8k?

How are the viewing angles on the 75"? They should be good as it's supposed to have either an IPS or ADS PRO panel but figured I would ask. Glad to hear that you like the TV so far.

Also how far away are you sitting from it?

I second this. I decided to treat myself to one apple tv in one room. It was so good that I instantly bought two more and ditched almost all my other devices. It's so much better than Roku, Chromecast, internal options etc.

In the same way that a TVs speaker is irrelevant because you just buy a sound bar or receiver, so too should you just get an apple tv on day one
But what about compared to Fire TV MAX version's faster CPU, is Apple TV faster than the MAX version?

Bought in early September from Costco; price adjust doesn't show. Do I box up and return or will they generally adjust if talking to a rep?
