I've been happy with this model for my home office (Piano White) with some studio monitors on my computer. For a small room I think it does well, the SVS app and being able to adjust things from my phone rather than fool with the equipment has been such a game changer for me. But even in my small room with carpet I tend to run this subwoofer at its max, its able to hit low, but not loud. For me low was important (~20hz range). I can absolutely tell the difference in games, music, movies, across the board. I previously tried the KRK-10" Subwoofer that's ported before landing on this model.

I wouldnt recommend this for a larger living room, or mid to upper tier home theater. My personal home theater has a 2x larger ported subwoofer from HSU.

*I compared it against a KRK-10" Ported subwoofer, and I compared it to the Micro-3000 SVS. Its Paired with KRK Studio monitors. I really wanted a piano white to blend in my office better so I was a little limited in the SVS options.

I actually am going this route. The sb1000 pro arrived from AMZ missing the power cable and manual. Looks like it was a return. I found a cable, tested it, and it sounded ok, but not great. Lots of distortion down deep at low db levels. Sent it back and ordered the RSL speed woofer when I realized they offered a VET discount. Can't wait to try it out.
