  1. Visit the offer page
  2. On the Set as Default landing page, sign in to your Amazon.com account if you haven't already.
  3. Add your Discover Card to your Amazon.com account if you haven't already.
  4. Change your default payment method to an eligible Discover Card and click Continue.
  5. When prompted, ensure your Discover Card's billing address is accurate by either confirming your billing address or adding a new billing address.
  6. The credit will automatically be applied to your Amazon.com account and available to use for your next purchase. There may be a short delay before the credit is available to use.
  7. To redeem the credit, make subsequent eligible purchase(s) with your eligible Discover Card.

Amazon has a long memory with these offers. If they card was ever registered and you got an offer, you can't do it again.

I qualified and got the email but the anything I try to check out with just applies my Discover points, no $10 credit.

Kind of shocked it worked here after switching default from Prime Visa to Discover, and I've used several other Discover offers in the past year or two. It immediately gave a popup that credit was applied on account, and sent a confirmation email seconds later. Immediately added a $10 item, along with a can each of Amazon Fresh tomato sauce diced tomatoes (both decent bases for homemade sauce) which netted another 2.25 in slow shipping credits for next Sat. Amazon Day delivery. All-told, $2.14 total for all three, and I still get the future credits towards downloadable Turbotax when that deal shows up.

Side note: I hate how they recently switched to offering 6% instead of 5% CB for the slow shipping credits when using Prime Visa; as if that extra 1% is worth passing up $2.25 on these cheap items. That makes this quarter's 5% Discover a no-brainer over Prime Visa anyway; this deal just sweetened it even more.

Nice worked! Unfortunately not for gift cards this go around just merchandise as far as I can tell.
