Your use case may be different, and that's fine. But a product isn't junk because it doesn't cater to your special, unique needs that are different from those of most consumers.
This thing works great for me. I often use it for my Pinecil and then have the outlets handy for other things. BTW, if you plug in charging bricks powerful enough to charge a laptop into the AC outlets, you can charge a total of 3 laptops at a time.
I use it for travel since the cord wraps up nice and out of the way (leaving a little loop that I find handy to pull it out of the side pocket of my bag)
Only downsides I often find the cord is a little to short sometimes to reach from the floor to the table top and stay without drifting off the edge over and over again. But, if it was a few inches longer I would probably find some other situation where if it was only another few inches longer it would be better. The other possible future downside is how the cord is pinched when wrapped up. I am not sure if that will end up wearing out quickly or not but, it does look like it is possible.... I think I am coming upto a year or so with mine and it still seems just fine though.

Either way, the AC outlet will always let you charge according to whatever charger was added on, the AC isnt limited in any meaningful way by the 65w internal charger.

One thing to note is that it does work up to 240v even though it doesn't say so. Something about the UL certification doesn't allow for multi-voltage, can't remember the details. But I can say for certain that I've used it for 220v when travelling with no issues. This unit is listed on the Anker website as 100-240v compatible:
https://support.anker.c
Another Anker alternative is their 727 100w charging station which has even more ports. It's larger but flat so travels OK, the cable doesn't wrap but detaches instead. Oh and there's the even newer 728 140w charging station!
