I'm really not sure why anyone would consider this monitor when the significantly superior version of this model is on sale for only $20 more. This is the G2723HN, while the superior G2723H is currently on sale for $150. https://slickdeals.net/f/17041351-27-dell-g2723h-1920x1080-280hz-1ms-ips-gaming-monitor-150-free-shipping
Compared to the G2723HN, the G2723H has: a significantly higher refresh rate, being 280hz as opposed to 165hz, superior bit depth, being 10 bits (8 bits + FRC) as opposed to 8 bits (6 bits + FRC), higher brightness, being 400 cd/m² as opposed to 350 cd/m², a superior display port, being dp 1.4 as opposed to 1.2, 4 (downstream) usb ports, as opposed to none, and a stand capable of tilt, height adjustment, pivot, and swivel, as opposed to only tilt.
I personally consider 27" to be too large for a 1080p monitor, a ppi of 81.59 is far too low at average viewing distances imo. The most commonly stated recommendations for monitor size and resolution, which I happen to agree with, are: 24" at 1080p, 27" at 1440p, and 32" at 4k.

Ideal if you sit back a bit or have a longer desk. Imo all desktop monitors have low PPI compared to phones and laptops, so it's not an issue for me (might be if you sit close). Colors look great and I haven't had any issues.

The G2723H is better but I personally wouldn't use the full 280Hz and a monitor arm is pretty cheap if you find the stand doesn't fit. Was much better at $80 last time with the AMEX deal.
