GameStop 50% off clearance. Bunch of other laptops and accessories available also.

Adding two notes: Screen reviews are 90-99% on all color tests but max nits is around 300-350 from the reviews I found. So color/contrast beat Legion and Alienware anywhere near this class but Legion has a much brighter screen at 400-500+ nits. 2nd note as mentioned in comments ram is soldered so upgrading it takes a desolder and resolder not an easy swap.

I see several reports of heat issues on the Amazon listings... these always seemed like slick systems though. It feels like pushing a 6900HX + 3070TI into that small of a package is a bit much though...

It also seems like the RAM is soldered. That is a deal breaker for such a powerful system.

There is several reports of heat issues on every single metal chassis gaming laptop. Just to be fair about it.

The ram is soldered as this is considered a thin laptop.

That is a fair point as it relates to heat and it really depends on how they deal with heat. My Alienware systems (17 (ranger), 17R1, 18, and 17R2) all had their fair share of heat as well. However, they also ran rock solid and were pretty cool outside of heavy gaming or power use scenarios. I also never had shutdowns or thermal breakdowns due to that heat. You could definitely not use those systems as "laptops" without a board+cooler pad between you and the unit.

They all still work today and the ranger was an i7-4900* (old now) with an RTX 880. Although, I can imagine that some users did get hit with failures due to heat related issues.

I have never owned a Razer, but good support is also key to long term success with these units.

I saw those. They have an older Razer and some MSI and Acer budget gaming options in the 400-600 range also if anyone wants to do a bunch of posting 😕

The chassis looks and feels nice, but they just don't last.
Take one look at the Razer subreddit, it's bad. Gaming laptops this expensive are not something a lot of people buy at retail so I don't think it's anything to do with the whole 'yeah but they sell so many so obviously you'll see more bad eggs than usual' (I'd say this is definitely the case with companies like Asus, even though they do have a lot of craps models too thrown in with the good ones). Their customer service and warranty is one of the worst, I just don't wanna deal with it.

Yeah I actually placed an order a while ago because I was going through the 100 pages and noticed a lot of items switching from Available to in store only to unavailable and missed out on a couple accessories I wanted. I probably should have posted when I first found it but honestly I don't even shop there and figured someone else would have posted already until I checked.

Really? All the reviews and comparisons I saw listed build quality as one of the pros over Legion options which are the next best build quality as far as I am aware.

Edit just scrolled reddit some more and I'm seeing battery bloat after 2-3 years if you don't update the bios and not much else... On it.

I meant the laptop itself in general doesn't last, the internals. Yes, the chassis is definitely very nice, the Legion 7 slim is right behind it for sure, but when it comes to reliability and warranty that's where there's a huge separation. I'd pick the Legion any day of the week, personally.

Wow.. This seems like a great price for a new Razer Blade, even if it's an older gen. Looks like "used - good" on Amazon is almost $1600.
