stay away from Arlo camera, the battery can last less than 3 month even you turn off the camera.

Buyer Beware: This is not compatible with most Arlo or third party solar panels (will work with VMA6600 Essential Solar Panel 2nd Generation) and uses usb-c to charge. The camera itself is good quality but is a PITA to charge depending on mount location. According to Arlo, the charging port and included cable are not outdoor rated so I assume it will need to be unmounted and charged indoors. It is an upgrade from the gen 1 essential camera which uses a micro usb charger. I purchased one and sent it back because of the charging.

Is it possible to use a third party solar panel with USB C cable to charge this camera battery? Say something 5v or less?

I have Arlo Cams and I don't pay a subscription. Batteries last me 3-4 months. It's an okay system, sometimes connection issues happen but overall they are pretty clear.

Can I still use my EOL device?
EOL devices may continue to be operated by the existing registered Arlo owners to record and livestream video from the camera, receive motion notifications on their smartphone, and store video clips locally with a compatible Arlo SmartHub or Base Station.

EOL devices can utilize Arlo's new cloud video storage platform, which is available with the Arlo Secure subscription service. However, some features may not be available on EOL devices since these devices no longer receive software or firmware updates and are no longer supported.

I don't know about all of these wireless security cameras. Aren't they easily hacked and can get into your home network and computers?

Anything can be hacked but no one wants to see you mowing the lawn with your pants half way up. Smilie

I wasn't concern about the way I look. LMAO
It was more about them hacking these wireless security cameras to get into my home network!
