So what happens if shit happens differently in the future? Then what? Do you get in your time machine and go back and buy gold then? No one should invest everything in one type of asset. A well invested portfolio is diversified.
What happens if the stock market doesn't continue to increase in value on average?

If that suddenly stops happening, gold is gonna be worthless

The index fund I referenced is an S&P 500 index fund. Probably the most reliable investment you can make

Is this and other bars on Costco 1 oz or 1 troy oz as both are different when you consider no of grams 28.3 gm vs 31.1gm. the reason is product name says 1oz and description says 1 troy oz.

My last order has been "lost" by UPS. I guess the UPS guys figured out what was in all those padded envelopes. LMAO

Gold will never be worthless, it is true wealth. It's a tier one asset and it's been true wealth for thousands of years. It's not an investment, it's actual wealth that won't go disappear with hyper inflation or fiat currencies.

Hard to believe since I bought 2 and they canceled 1 saying it was over the limit.

Nevermind, I canceled the order. The bars I drop in the studio are worth more.

No, but I see you've been misled. Gold is as much of an asset as diamonds. In fact, I might argue that diamonds actually have more utilitarian value than gold.

I'll put it this way, if the world's economy have collapsed is anyone going to give a shit about metal used primarily for jewelry? I'll bet food is going to be worth a lot more to someone than a gold brick.

I got one minutes after this deal was posted and I just got a cancellation email. I did get two last week so maybe I am over their limit. There wasn't a reason on the email.

Yeah … they seem to be canceling some orders, mostly ones ordering more than two of the same item number. I'm guessing your previous order was probably also for the dragon? ( #1778080 ) You might want to try a different bar if one comes up.

But what if you bought VFIAX at $84.84 on August 30th 2002, and bought an oz of gold for $311.04 the same day. Then sold that gold August 30th 2011 for $1833.76 and sold the VFIAX for 112.13 the same day.

Do you understand what I am saying now? Or are you still going to pontificate like you know what you're talking about when you're actually have no farking idea.
