I know there's going to be naysayers that roll in and crap all over the 8GB on the 4060, but honestly, this is a very good configuration for people wanting to do 1080P current gen gaming or 4K previous gen gaming.

Just the fact that they're not insulting us by bundling it with only 16GB of RAM makes this a strong pick.

If you're a patient gamer who missed out on all of the PS4 exclusives that also made their way to PC, this is a really compelling entry point. It should also have no trouble emulating PS3 and Switch.

For context, my 1660Ti and 9th gen i5 can run Spiderman Remastered at 1080P with most settings on high or 4K with a mix of medium and low settings, and this setup runs circles around it.

Also, developers are still barely dipping their toes into what's possible with Direct Storage, so we might see the GPU memory requirements ease up as faster NVME drives come out. 8GB on the graphics card might not be quite as restrictive if you can drop in a really fast 1TB drive and use it as a cache.

Wow. All this into a mini case. Not much room for addition drives but at least it has 32g of RAM. Hmm, tempting.

Why would you assume it has issues with thermals based on its size?

If anything, larger cases create dead zones where pockets of air can get trapped instead of being exhausted quickly.

It also looks like they have plenty of exhaust and intake fans installed, whereas other prebuilts leave them out to be quieter.

As for upgrades, this probably isn't a system to do that with. A better card will probably require removing one of the fans at minimum. And regardless, pairing a 4090 with an i5 seems mismatched.

At this price point, just buy it and use it until Nvidia releases the 5000 series and then put together a more comprehensive system around it.

Does anyone know if this qualifies for Walmart free reruns policy till January? Or it doesn't since it's not sold directly from Walmart?

Honestly not even a bad 1440p system either as long as it's not ultrawide and you keep the settings on medium-ish

Is the tower too small for expansion and might have heating issues?

I was able to score the BB drop but am debating if I should return that and buy this instead. Does anyone know if the parts in this are proprietary?

This is definitely slick.
Only cons are i5F which means no video if the GPU dies... and the fact they don't show the rear i/o, and I like a LOT of USB ports.
