I own probably 30+ Hart tools and they are all exceptionally awesome. They're my go to for any tool nowadays. This kit is pretty nice, IMO the brushless impact and drill are much nicer though and worth the cost.

Prettier colors than Milwaukee or Ryobi.

Are you saying this kit are all brushless tools or that Hart has brushless impact and drill in another kit/configuration?

This kit is not brushless as this price point is really good for the kit. There is a brushless kit but it's not on sale at $249. I've accrued mine over the years from sales. Got a brushless set years ago for $99 flat with 2 batteries, the deals come and go, just gotta watch out.

I have been pleasantly shocked at the performance of the Hart stuff I got back during the summer glitches. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this if I knew somebody who needed it!

I also picked up a number of hart branded tools earlier this year and have been pretty impressed. Only thing I don't really like is the drill which is so large for some reason.

I'll echo the pleasant surprise at the quality of the Hart tools I have, admittedly none of these though. I have the 40V string trimmer and chainsaw that I found on 75% off clearance, along with a whole bunch of different attachments for the trimmer. The only one I've been a bit disappointed in is the little tiller, but I'm suspecting that's just not a great tool in the first place and probably nothing specifically with the Hart. I've even had a couple warranty claims with them and they went really smoothly.

The drill and impact kit I got over that summer has been quite good. The white is hard to clean grease off though but who cares. I thought I would miss my old trusty but dead most the time craftsman but this thing has been great so far. I use both for car stuff for driving bolts in and out, smaller ones so I'm quite hard on them.

If you are just looking for a good kit for around the house/light work, this will do everything you need. If you are going to be using them frequently every day, you might want to opt for a brushless kit.

That the same company makes them doesn't mean they are made to the same quality. For example - you can go down to Kinkos and have a digital file printed out on a big format printer - but there's going to be a quality difference between somebody who took a photo using a $99 Android phone and somebody who took a picture of the same thing but with an expensive DLSR and tweaked settings for just that scene. It doesn't matter that both are printed out by Kinkos.

One company could tell this manufacturer use these parts, while another company says 'no, use these more expensive parts for ours'. One company can try to cut corners and have it blow up in their face leaving out a 30 cent part while another company just keeps having them made the same as always. I can go on and on but those are just a few examples.
