my monoprice tube amp died within a year and getting replacement tubes is a nightmare with russian sanctions
you got to make sure you're using a speaker cable and not a guitar cable. that'll blow your tubes. And plug it into the rigt ohms that match the speaker cabinet

Yeah BS. You can get EL84 tubes from Ali for $14 shipped. That's just $28 for two NEW. Which is usually blown by forgetting to plug your speaker back in internally. Or playing hard rock every night performing for about 3+ years.
Just think about it. Tube amps are not going away. So tubes are not going away.
Now go price a power board for a Katana. Yeah, it happens. AND they STOP supporting parts at around 3 years. Planned obsolescence. Yet still cry solid state, from the '60's; that was suppose to stop all issues and obsolete tubes.
Tube AND non-tube gear can be great and I recommend mixing them most of the time. It depends on build quality either way, not the type.
And I'm a fan of this amp, *if* you are getting paid to perform in a football stadium sized event.

This doesn't need special tubes, just very commonly used ones.
