Keychain/password managers can do that without a fingerprint sensor...
Not saying that I don't enjoy having it on my M1 MBP, but $120+ for a crappy keyboard JUST to have TouchID feels like robbery.
Sure, but that's a super hypothetical and highly unlikely scenario. That's like leaving your phone unlocked in a public place and "stepping away for a second". Nobody does that.
If you're in an environment where people are gonna capture your passwords the minute you step away, there are bigger things to be worried about...

Leave it unlocked and step away and have someone steal your info in a minute? That scenario as a whole is unlikely.
Most people who use computers outside of home are either in an office environment or in public. Idk about you but I'm not "stepping away" and leaving my computer in a public place, much less unlocked. As for the other scenario, if you have coworkers trying to hijack your stuff... Idk what to tell you.
Honestly, if I were the thief/hacker, I'd just take your fancy TouchID keyboard ๐
