Main downside I see is it's air cooled and doesn't come in a cool case like the Alienware. Interested in any coupons anyone may know of.

Seems like a pretty high price for a low-end graphics card and only a 460W power supply. Also i7-13700 can be had in much cheaper desktops. Keep in mind, there is nothing special about this XPS case/design.

For $100 more, get the Alienware R16:

Dell used to be a great company, but they switched to proprietary motherboards and power supplies preventing you from reusing anything and upgrading in the future. In addition, I have owned perhaps 10 Dell machines in the past 15 years and since 2017 or so, their quality is terrible. Please consider not getting this slickdeal until Dell improves.

You would take the Alienware despite the 4080ti and 32gb RAM difference?
Thanks for the link.

Not following. The Alienware I linked to is supposed to have a 4060Ti as does this XPS. Not a 4080Ti. But you are correct there is a 32GB vs 16GB difference. I didn't notice that.

Dell's always done weird proprietary things, even back in the days when they had more standard motherboards they wouldn't bother to solder an AGP slot on to save a few cents, and completely prevent you from adding a GPU to the system. And don't even get me started about their cases...

How would the alienware compare to this ibuypower from bestbuy?

While $300 is a sizable bump in price, it seems like you're getting a bunch of strong spec bumps worth more than that

Looks decent, but has a 3070Ti instead of a 4070Ti.

Do you mean 4060ti? And isnt the -70 series better than the -60 series even if its one gen older?

I meant it included a previous gen 3070Ti instead of a current gen 4070Ti. I wasn't comparing to this XPS with regards to the video card.

Maybe others here can answer that last question, I'm not qualified. Smilie

Exactly. Two weeks ago I bought an Inspiron 16 plus laptop with the same specs (essentially because mobile procs differ a bit) for about $1380 with 2 year full accidental coverage with tax and shipping (free).
