I have these and been using them for at least a year. They are great and I love them. Yes they are big and bulky for some exercises but they are great for a cheap, do-it-all set. I would buy them again in a heartbeat. No issues with falling plates or them not functioning as intended.

Got these last year and love them.

Are they bowflex quality? No

Can you drop them and abuse them? No

Are they a heck of a deal for the money? 100%

Somehow I scored the bowflex dumbell/media rack for $80 around the same time. These don't mount perfectly, but close. I ran a strap around the rack and the dumbbell base, it's been perfectly fine for a year.

YMMV but my experience has been great!

I was tempted but it seems that they can break fairly easily. I'm waiting for the powerblock deals to come back around.

These vs. the Woot Powerblocks which keep coming back?

If I had to buy an adjustable dumbbell that's not powerblocks, I look for 2 things
1. Do the length of the dumbbell increase/decrease as you increase/decrease the weight
2. Do they do the standard 5lb increments

This one does not do 1. Doesn't mean it's bad. Just means it'll be long.

As for the mechanism they use, it'll always be a toss up lol.

I bought these 2 years ago for 50$ more. Never regretted. Still holding pretty good.

I have these and the power blocks and I prefer these. Easier to switch weights and do not hurt my knuckles like the power blocks do.

I own these, paid a little bit more than this price. My one gripe is the size even for lower weights is a bit long vs something like Core Home which I also considered. Overall happy.

Great deal. FYI they also make a universal rack for these. I'd already purchased a set at Aldi and just bought the rack and it works perfectly. It was under $100. Their vibrating balance board is pretty good too for under $50.

I'd say great deal...they look like my old Gold's Gym model with shiny chrome but these are painted black. although I think those were round on the bottom and these are flat, but it's a similar product to that
