I have these and been using them for at least a year. They are great and I love them. Yes they are big and bulky for some exercises but they are great for a cheap, do-it-all set. I would buy them again in a heartbeat. No issues with falling plates or them not functioning as intended.

Got these last year and love them.

Are they bowflex quality? No

Can you drop them and abuse them? No

Are they a heck of a deal for the money? 100%

Somehow I scored the bowflex dumbell/media rack for $80 around the same time. These don't mount perfectly, but close. I ran a strap around the rack and the dumbbell base, it's been perfectly fine for a year.

YMMV but my experience has been great!

400 5 star reviews but 50 people hated them enough to leave 1 star reviews as well.

Had these for over a year now, they are fantastic for the price. I like the increments that they increase/decrease. Sure they are bulky and I wish the grip had metal knurling. But they have not broke on me, just don't drop or abuse them.

Also got them about a year ago for 199, and they have been great. I don't abuse them. It's perfect for my home training routines. And it was nice to get finer increments to 52.5 than some others that went to 50 in 10lbs increment.

Just like a couple others on here I bought these last year for $200 and they've held up great but just don't drop them. For 50 lb dumbbells you can't really go wrong. They're a bit bulky at the lower weights but most adjustables are bulky. I haven't had any problems with them and have used them 3-5 days a week for over a year.

I 've had these about a year now. Would buy again. No problems with slipping plates or breakage so far. I don't think there's a better set out there at this price.

This happened with my Bowflex Kettlebell. Almost dropped a weight on my face!

Just bought these. Thanks OP!

I ordered these last year, they were $178.00 for a pair around Black Friday. I have used them a few days a week and they have held up perfectly. Love the ease of adjustment which has been flawless to this date. I don't use them on a hard gym floor, I don't bang them around, never dropped them. No idea if they match Bowflex quality, but I would totally buy them again at this price.

Soon I'll need to size up, not sure if there are great options at a heavier weight. Good problem to have I guess.

These vs. the Woot Powerblocks which keep coming back?
The general consensus is that the Powerblocks are the best of the adjustable dumbbell sets.

I've had these and the powerblocks. The only reason I kept the powerblocks was that they are expandable and these aren't. Otherwise, these are much easier than the powerblocks to adjust. I ended up flipping them on Facebook for a small profit.

Only thing that could break on them are the plastic discs that holds the weight plate. I am not sure we would be able to get them later

As a PowerBlock user, I bought these to quickly go between weights in smaller increments. Much needed for my Body Beast workout that I'm returning back to.

Same experience here. I have both and would recommend these over the powerblocks to anyone not needing the expansion, even if the price was the same .

How would this compare to https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...0DER&psc=1 [amazon.com]

I like that fitrx one has simple storage plate
i have the 40lb pair and they're pretty good but you eventually get annoyed at changing the weight. Unscrew both, add weights, screw back on both.

I was thinking of getting these FitRx to complement them that way i can just keep them at one weight.
