Thanks OP! I was spec'ing this M2/15 last night on Apple.com. Much better deal here. Just a note, this package comes with the 35w power adapter. Wish Apple would have included the 70w. You can select it for no additional charge on Apple.com. There's always something with Apple's configs (RAM, Cores, SSD, and now power adapters) 🤬

It's gross. PC prices plummeting, Apple raises prices, only to have sales. Unless you use MacOs specifically for a need, it's throwing money out.

There are times when I looked at their iPhone pricing for the past few gens and was in awe. It was like buy the SE or the 12 Pro —- everything in between left you wanting an upgrade for just a little more.

This is true. I like Apple products, just wish they would lower ram upgrade prices a bit and allow them for any configuration instead of tying them to specific processor upgrades.

Even the pro starts at 8GB of RAM. They are living 10 years in the past. I was looking at the new M3 and noticed they didn't make an air, I was shocked the pro was 8GB.

Apple has much tighter memory coupling with their OS and hardware integration. They have a different philosophy on memory. Unless you have a need for 16gb, 8 is plenty good for most people in their ecosystem.

You can barely run a couple tabs of chrome. Sounds like a PR statement. Doesnt matter what apple does if the applications themselves are not optimized. 16GB should have been the norm years ago, now I would argue that 32GB will be the new standard in just a couple years and apple will still be behind
