Love this thing for when you have a lot of caulking to do. Overkill for small caulk jobs like going around a sink or tub

good insight, made my buying decision easy. ill stick to my $15, better than cheap metal stock manual caulk gun

I used it for gluing up shower wall panels and long runs of base board and crown moulding. The carpenter I hire for bigger stuff wasn't a fan and would use the traditional metal caulk gun for everything.

The tool is really impressive though. Probably the most robust feeling m12 I have. It also has cool features like adjustable flow rates and when you release the trigger it sucks back the plunger to avoid dripping. That's actually one of the complaints for smaller projects is after it sucks back it takes a second to refill so you lose some of the fine tuning vs a manual gun

I have this and recently renovated my house from top to bottom. Takes some getting used to but you'll love it. Go do a few hundred feet of baseboard trim, crown moulding. It's nice tool but 100% don't need it lol.

This can't be beat for bigger jobs. I bought it for applying Green Glue between sheets of drywall for the theater I am working on.

I agree that it is a bit much for small jobs.

I've been wanting this for a while but have never had a big job to need it for. I'm not sure I can justify it for small things. Maybe if I ever decide to finally redo my shower/tub.

FYI. The 2.5Ah HO battery is excellent upgrade to your M12 devices. For drivers/saws it'll be like a new more powerful tool compared to the 2.0

Aren't most folks running the 4.0Ah battery anyways?

I mean - the 25% capacity bump on the compact pack is nice, but I still have a hard time justifying spending $160 on a caulk gun...

4-5Ah is better if u need the runtime on the drivers/saw but weight is more

The 2.5 HO will run saw fast as the 5Ah XC pack

I have the m12 impact The 2.5 HO is easier to use than a 5Ah battery

Just mentioning the 2.5Ah HO in this deal as a good battery

Used this tool multiple times and really like how you can be precise or pump out big quantity fast. From nice lines around a shower to gluing panels up, the dial let's you dial in what you want and away you go.

Good tool

It's hard to judge how much pressure it's putting on the plunger so blowouts can happen with higher speeds and colder cartridges.

Start at the lowest speed and work your way up until you're familiar with it.

Already have a bunch of M12 and M18 HO batteries. This item isn't worth this pricing. Hopefully for a $85 with hack near the holiday.

Just putting my Ryobi caulk gun on sale locally, which will help offset the purchase of this one since the VAST majority of my tools are Milwaukee. I despise caulking, so I'm hoping this will help especially with my hands exhibiting arthritis these days. My no-name manual gun is mostly fine, but my hands quickly tire with that thing now.
