I got a notification of an upcoming flash deal starting at Noon ET and going till 6pm ET where you can get a Delta Pro for $2599 after applying a coupon on the item page and a free 160W solar panel if you apply another coupon during checkout. Not a bad deal if you are looking to dip your feet in the quality EcoFlow line of devices. I've enjoyed having my Delta Pro Power Station for events/camping and for some peace of mind if a blackout occurs.

Steps to get the deal:
  1. Add the DELTA Pro with $1000 coupon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C1Z4GLKS
  2. Apply promo code BFDPRO160 at checkout to get a free 160W solar panel

Some details for those that haven't researched it before:
  • 3600Wh LFP battery capacity, DELTA Pro provides strong electrical storage for home battery backup power supply and outdoor camping. Applied with DELTA Pro Extra Batteries or Smart Generators, the electric generator can expand its capacity from 3.6kWh to 25kWh
  • A single DELTA Pro unit packs a 3600W AC output, which can be expanded up to 4500W with X-Boost technology. You can even pair two units together to achieve 7200W. Power 99.99% heavy-duty devices at home, outdoors, or at work. With 15 output methods: 2*USB-A, 2*USB-A Fast Charge, 2*USB-C (100W), 5*AC Outlets, 2*DC Outlets, 1 car power output and 1 Anderson port
  • Fully recharge the lifepo4 battery in 1.8 hrs with 240V outlets(3000W), 2.7 hrs with 1800W wall outlets or solar charged in 2.8 hours with 4*400W solar panels. Can also charge via EV station charging, solar, wall outlets, using the smart outdoor generator or via a car outlet.

Just an FYI that this unit has enough capacity (over 3kWh) to qualify for a 30% tax credit in the US--thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act that expanded the Residential Clean Energy Credit to battery tech:

So many coupons. Perhaps someone can add all of these coupon options in the wiki?

I can appreciate the technology but I'm not sure when I'd ever have a use for a battery like this; if the power is out, I won't be able to recharge it. If I'm using it for tailgating or similar, I could just use an inverter connected to the vehicle. Or if I'm camping, I don't want to bring a heavy battery.

I am curious what everyone uses this sort of product for, I am genuinely curious because they seem popular but I must not have found the right use case yet

I have a few solar panels, MPPT Solar charge controller, LiFePO4 batteries and 3500 watt inverter, and you bring up an excellent point. These are NOT for power outages that last more than several hours.. Other methods than solar/battery power simply work better for many things, at a much lower cost.

When we have Florida storm power outrages, it is easy to simply fire up the quiet $800 HF Predator 3500w Inverter Generator, which will run my 900w portable A/C unit in bedroom all night long, on less than 3 gallon of gas. Easy to repeat for a week or more, plus run fridge, coffee maker, TV, Internet, lights, and even the microwave and stuff at same time (except A/C), 24/7. Easy to get more gas after a few days if needed. It is almost like we never lost power, except no 220v stuff in current setup. None of this is using the solar stuff I have.

The EcoFlow 3.6kw wouldn't make it through one night, then done until power comes back up to recharge. You would need eight 200 watt solar panels (plus all the required extras) just to have a chance at keeping up with a normal cheap gas generator, and it still wouldn't last 4 hours at night with A/C. The included 160w panel might be able to produce about 8 amps per hour of daylight, so pretty much useless.

I bought the EV charger adapter so that I could drive to a different part of town that has power to recharge in 2 hours if needed. Where I live typically has never experienced an entire city wide blackout so this solution works for me. I also have solar panels for slower charging when I don't have a heavy or extended load to power.

May indeed not be for YOU, but this would be great for some cabin in the woods or really any place without electrical service, but some open area/shade free roof to load up with larger solar panels and just live off that. Not everyone finds the noise of a generator relaxing.
May be cheaper to get just the bare LiFePO4 batteries, a controller, etc, but this is easier to set up.

Adding a 160W panel to a 3.6kW power station seems a bit of a mis-match to me, but hey.

What I am envisioning is having this inside my garage next to the panel with a transfer switch, then having this plugged into a gas generator outside. The idea being better safety with not having a gas generator running in the garage and also being more fuel efficient (I am assuming) since this would sort of smooth out the power delivery and ideally more of the energy created by the gas generator would be utilized. I would love to hear a better solution.

I live in a rural area that either gets down for a few hours due to weather or maintenance, or sometimes a disaster will cut a line here or there. I have smaller portable batteries and a solar shed, I could see myself using this for my fridges and appliances if I need to prep some meals or just keep things cold. Aside from that I've used my batteries for running my office setup and network, and CPAP when I'm ready do turn in (I swap batteries too when I want to charge via solar shed). I think the biggest selling point for these is that there's less maintenance than a gas generator, no upkeep on a carb or oil changes, but unlike a dual fuel generator you're at the mercy of how you can recharge this thing.

If you can live without a clothes dryer, or air conditioning for a few days, I think this actually can run the basics in a home pretty well. Lights, Wi-Fi (basics lol), refrigerator, outlets. Look into a transfer switch or an interlock setup.

Curious to know how to get gas during an outage, since pumps run on electricity.
