I think there is an underlying political theme to all of this. I know some high net worth guys storing gold etc. Why? Total anarchy and they were told the government is coming for thier gold. Conspiracy stuff. Bug out bags ready.

Hahaha I love how some of y'all think post society someone with no toilet paper is going to want your soft yellow brick! Spend your money on guns or something useful or hey, enjoy your time on earth since you're obviously not going enjoy post society if gold is your plan.
Glad I bought and don't think this.

Why don't you spend your money on guns or something you deem useful. Why do you and others feel the need to talk down on how they spend their money?

Most people won't know how or where to sell this in the future when they need to cash out. There are better ways to invest your money. If you're thinking a piece of gold is it, think again. Neat thing to have and will likely retain monetary value but that's about it.

Is there a website to sell it to? Thinking about buying this next time I need to hit a credit card bonus and just sell it back right away.
Yes there is.

I hope no one in here is buying gold as their only investment, or even a majority.

Are you talking about 2% Executive member + 2% from Citi Costco credit card? If so, you get $80 - $65 (spot price at this time) = $15. After received gold bar, you may drive to local coin shops and they may buy it back for up to $50 below spot price.
Not even that.

Combine it with things like the 5% from Freedom, or Chase Ink Sign up Bonuses ($900 on $6000 spend) if you can flip this somewhere.

I've been on the 4% costco train for years but this year I've found it pretty easy to get 7% from them with some shenanigans, not including sign up bonuses.

What good is that exchange and the electronic paper if shit hits the fan
Might be better off with food and water than a piece of gold in that case

There are a few reasons:

They have thousands of this particular bar in stock.

Those that want these at this price have probably already hit the 2 quantity limit on previous orders and their orders aren't being fulfilled.

Those that are on the fence are holding off for a better price as it's not as great in relationship to spot as it was when Costco first started offering them.

Having said that...it's OOS. lol
