I've been thinking about trading in a Z Fold4 for a 512GB S23 Ultra but the lowest I can get the price down to on the app is $409.99 before tax.

I'm a little bitter about the false advertising because it blatantly says that the price before trade-in is $1034.99 and my trade-in should have taken $800 off making the price $234.99 instead of $409.99. At this point I might just wait for the S24 Ultra.

Trading an s22 ultra for an s23 ultra nets out to $299 under this sale.
Same transaction was $249 ($1049-$800) a month ago. I'd suggest waiting if you are able to.

Too bad there's no free upgrade for 1TB.

We lose a few hundred dollars every time a higher storage model is traded in for a newer higher storage model. Trade in price stays the same regardless of storage size, and higher storage on the new phone costs more again. Hope Samsung increases their minimum storage and improves pricing on upgrades.

Traded my Note 20 Ultra for the Flip 4 and then for the Flip 5. Favorite phone ever. It's refreshing to take a step back towards smaller and more compact.

FYI, if you're a Spectrum Internet customer, you can get $600 off and the trade-in value of your old device when you buy a Flip 5 from Spectrum Mobile. You'll need to pay for two months of service at $14 per month, and then you can unlock the phone.

Price without trade-in $749 for 256GB. Trade in for Zfold 3 is $600. This should being the price to $149. But it's not and it's 299$. Why?

My fold 4's inner screen protector started to peel and when I went in for repair after 1 year manufacturer warranty, they said it'll cost me $19 to replace it, but apparently sand got into the hinge mechanism so my phone wasn't laying flat. So eventually the new protector will also start peeling off. The only permanent fix is to get the hinge replaced that will cost $400 without insurance. Even after that, fwiw, I'm not getting insurance for the fold 5 😀
my flip screen protector also peeled off at the fold seam.. Its normal - these phones dont even need much screen protection as most of the times screen is closed. I just ripped off mine and its all good.

This kind of marketing is illegal in Europe. They can't do this because it is a false advertisement.

Now their site says: (Get 25% off Galaxy Z Fold5
From $1,349.99 before eligible trade in.)

This is clear, the 512GB F5 should be 1349 after the 25% discount. I tested and this works if you are paying the phone full price however this doesn't work if you are trading in a device.

Fold 4 should give you $1000 discount so you should pay $349+plus taxes and that's clearly what they wrote on their side (From $1,349.99 before eligible trade in) but they are clearly lying, they deduct your trade in value first then apply the 25% discount on the balance which is against their ad.
