There's a difference between carpentry and woodworking. I can only assume you're not a woodworker.

You can't rip wood, make rabbets or dados with a tracksaw.

The tablesaw is the jack-of-all-trades when it comes to cutting wood (and admittedly is the most dangerous tool in a woodworker's shop as well).

what's bad about this is that tablesaws are almost obsolete, people like to use a track saw like the ryobi deal going on now
Track saws are a pain to set up, especially for long boards. Also there's no way to get repeated cuts, with a track saw you have to measure each time.

These legit saved me from what would very likely have been a very bad time once, still using the one with the saw blade line in its bottom to this day. Things happen quickly sometimes and it's just another layer of keeping you counting to 10.

While design is versatile, it does not work well on finished wood especially for glossy finished wood. It can't really grip it very well.

Got these after I had kick back causing 17 stitches on my hand.
You might want to check your fence is within spec to your blade. You shouldn't need that much grip.

I'm far from a master woodworker, but a lot of what I've picked up over the years goes against the grain from a lot of these armchair expert comments.

This is a versatile tool, but there are plans to 3D print it and better versions for around $15 in materials.

As for function, it should never aid you in the ways they show in their product images.

If your hands have to be that close to any powered motor with that much rotational force, you're doing it wrong.

Buy the right cutter, because the medical bill is always more expensive.

You clearly don't know what a track saw is for or how one can be used for repeatability, but the commenter you replied to doesn't know why table saws are still popular either.

I have one of these. It is not for everything, but what it does it does well. I would recommend one for any hobbyist wood worker.

My fence is quite parallel to the blade (delta Unifence which I haven't need to really adjust anything for last 10 years but I do check to see if it is still parallel to the blade). I was ripping pre-finished flooring and the finished side was glossy finish, it was quite slippery and gripper couldn't get a good grip. This was pretty much ONLY item that it could not grip confidently.

I've used this for years. Buy one--lots of flexibility to help rip different widths of material. Yes, it's expensive, but I'm glad I purchased and have one. Recommended.
