How does this deal for a Hero 12 compare to the Costco Black Friday sale for a Hero 11 (11/24-11/27)
Any insight would be appreciated. GoPro Would likely be used on a motorcycle helmet and occasional vacations hiking with wifey. Even though last generation for Costco, the return policy peace of mind looms large. However I have heard that GoPro Customer service is pretty good.

In my opinion I'm going to go for the 12. I've just heard too many bad things about battery life and over heating about the 11. This is a great deal.

And apologies for asking, is this website for military only? Their FAQs says a SS, DOB and last name are needed.
I am civilian. No go?
