If this is what anyone considers as something that you will "notice the extra weight and will be a bit heavy" (direct quote) then I'd suggest eating some Wheaties. Notice? Perhaps? If you pop them back and forth over and over you might detect it. But it's literally LESS than ONE OUNCE DIFFERENCE. If that's a difference-maker for someone, then there's likely some exercises you can do to develop the endurance and muscle tone necessary to handle the 8/10 of an ounce difference. ;-)
I don't disagree that it's a very small difference. But I will say I put that out there because people were asking what the differences were. If you compare the Nintendo switch lite, that one is 0.61 lb. People will likely feel that difference over a long gaming session. It's not entirely insignificant.
I bought my Switch OLED a couple of years ago. The Switch had already been out 5 years and I thought it wouldn't be long before Switch 2 was out. ButI there was a large backlog of exclusive games I wanted to play through on the Switch and I wanted to start playing those games at that time.

Click on the model and see for yourself and toss the differences into your OWN value system. You know it's a sad day when someone refers to the weight difference causing the OLED to "be a bit heavy" when Nintendo indicates a .05 lbs difference, which is .8 ounces. Less than 1 ounce is what makes it "a bit heavy". Consider that, and then check the specs and ask yourself about the relative value of the larger/brighter screen, extra internal storage, LAN port on the dock, etc.
