This is a pretty sweet ass deal if you're in the market for a high power laptop.

I've got an older GS65 that's still going strong, other than being a little dated.

Reviews seem to not like the speakers (sharp, cheap, shrill), webcam (low quality), and battery life (4-4.5hr range). For raw performance its an OK deal but I don't really think this seems worth considering over a G14, even if this comes in a little cheaper.

I am in the same boat. The graphics card is really out of date now tho. U think it's worth it to get a new MSI for the updated graphics?

Msi vs asus g14. Biggest problem was I couldn't see it in person and I think the msi runs hotter and gets very hot on the lap.

Yes, one of its key selling points.
Not a lot of 14-inchers from even big brands offer that except for the super expensive ThinkPad series to name one from the top of my head.

When have you ever upgraded a laptop gpu?? I've never seen that and I've studied pc tech. Ok I saw it a couple times but only from super super advanced nerds.

This isn't a thing

Depends on if this is your main PC. I've got 2 others that I use 95% of the time and my laptop is just for travel, so I haven't pulled the trigger on a new one yet.
