No, not faster. Not even really slimmer. Wouldn't trade a perfectly good PS5 for a slim for any reason. The "upgraded" Pro model is rumored for 2024.

Not bad, but I don't necessarily see the slim as an upgrade over the OG unless you really want that MW3 code at a good discount. I might do something like this when/if a PS5 Pro comes along though.

Does anyone know when the this extra $50 promo ends? I called my local GameStop cause I won't be able to try until Monday and he said it was done Sunday night, but honestly sounded like he wasn't sure at all about that.

So, I called my daughter up and told her about this, as her husband was gonna be buying MW3 anyways, and get a new system new controller etc. We went in today and did the trade. The associate said we HAD to purchase gamestop warranty with the new console. So whatever we just paid for it and left, she took it home set it up etc. I got to looking into that and found out it is not true, called another gamestop store and asked the associate there about it and they confirmed that it was not true. So now that we have purchased the warranty, apparently to get a refund on the warranty we have to take the console back in, return it along with the warranty then buy a console again without the warranty. Not sure if they will even let us since the console has been opened. I will be calling gamestop coorporate about this and see what can be done.

Also, she said she would just keep the warranty if she would get a new replacement on the spot if she had a problem and had to use it, but from the reading ive done over the last few hours on reddit, it seems gamestop has changed that as well, and are giving refurbs out for replacements on consoles and controllers now.

yeah you get more for the trade in using a pro membership. Plus a $10 sign up credit. Plus $5 a month for a year.

No you can't save it up for 6 months to get $30. Each $5 expires at the end of the month. I usually just buy $10 PSN c redit.
