I have that too, but I was told via chat that any charges after the expiration date, in this case 11/15, will not be eligible for the cash back. Just FYI. So at best, you'll get one 9.99 charge back.

The Amex Offer ending Nov 15, 2023 is a limited time "Amex Offer" you can enroll in at the bottom of the page after you sign in for whatever happens to be a current promotion. That one actually started all the way back May 15, 2023 designed to renew 6 times, the people posting about it now were too lazy/stupid to realize it 1/2 year ago.

The $7 off $10 per month is a regular advertised card feature, applies to cards such as Blue Cash, etc. Cards like the Plat have a higher standard amount, but these are not "current" Amex Offers but rather ongoing features of the Amex card you have. These are not the same and clearly only the latter is relevant now
Thanks and repped. Given that you say it's a "feature" rather than an "offer" and I see no expiration date, then it appears my Amex Blue Cash should have this $7 off "feature" indefinitely.

I think these are all my options:
(1) $7.99 for Hulu with ads + my existing D+ ad-free add-on for $2.99 = $10.98 - $7 Amex = $3.98 per month
(2) 99c for Hulu with ads (1 year promo with a new account deal in another thread) + $2.99 D+ with ads add-on = $3.98 per month
(3) $9.99 for Hulu with ads + D+ with ads bundle for $9.99 - $7 Amex = $2.99 per month

If the above is right, then it seems my best option is to do nothing and let my $1.99 Hulu + $2.99 D+ ad-free add-on promo expire and jump up to $7.99 + $2.99 charged to my Amex card. Not having D+ ads is worth $1 more per month.

Also, some people are talking about being offered 6 more months of Hulu with ads for $2.99 if they try to cancel. However, that would be $2.99 for 6 months + $2.99 D+ ad-free add-on which is $5.98 per month and doesn't trigger the Amex $7 off.

Again, unless I'm missing something option (1) and doing nothing is my best option because of the perpetual $7 off Amex.

If this is a card benefit for Blue Cash Preferred, can it be used with cash back sites, provided the cash
back offer allows the monthly billing? Has anyone tried?

I'm in the same boat as you and will likely keep option 1 just to keep ad-free D+. Just hope the AMEX credit comes through - kind of concerned since we technically don't have the "bundle". Could just be semantics though.

I'm wondering the same thing. I wasn't sure if I could keep option 1 and have the AmEx apply since it is not a bundle, and an add on. Please report back if you get the AmEx to apply the credit. Thanks!

Though everything we're told has to be taken with a grain of salt, someone at Amex said any Hulu/Disney/ESPN subscription $9.99 or more qualifies. Now if that person was wrong, will Amex honor it for me? Probably not.

Part of the terms say: "Qualifying purchases include Disney Bundle monthly subscription purchases of at least $9.99 a month (excluding taxes) and any other monthly or annual subscription purchase or add-ons of at least $9.99 (excluding taxes) in any one calendar month purchased at U.S. websites DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com or Plus.espn.com made on your enrolled Card Account"

Given the credit can take many weeks to show up, one thought in case it doesn't work is you could sign up for the 99c Hulu deal for 1 year in a fresh account/email. If you get your Amex credits, cancel that 99c account. If you don't, you could switch to that account or lose your D+ no ads add-on and switch to the $9.99 "Disney Bundle" which should work with Amex. I just think the offer was poorly written because whoever wrote it probably didn't know there was a specific bundle called the "Disney Bundle".

I got Amex credit for ESPN+ standalone subscription, so bundle is not needed.

I've also opted just to switch payment to my Amex card which offers the $7 per month credit to keep Disney+ ad-free. I assume credit should trigger since monthly charge will be $10.98 total per month going forward. For those who haven't ever used the Amex offer before, note that you do have to ENROLL to activate it (even though it's an included benefit of the card), so make sure you do that step!

Credit is showing up already for people.
But you must be enrolled in the offer on your amex

This is odd. I opted to continue my Hulu/Disney subscription at $10.98 and was charged so on 11/23. A credit of $1.10 from Hulu just showed up that brings my monthly total below the $9.99 threshold.

Nov 24 Credit HULU SANTA MONICA -$1.10

There's nothing about it in my Hulu account.

Edit: After thinking this through, the $1.10 is a different amex offer credit.

I wish I saw your post a few days ago. I went and cancelled my Hulu $2/m + Disney no ads $3/m deal a few days ago.

It seems that Disney no ads is "grandfathered" for those who had it previously? Damn I'm taking that L for sure. Lol.

There is no D+ price grandfathered. I had D+ continuously from pre-launch in 2019 until about 2 weeks ago. I originally had the $139.99 for 3 years pre-launch promo and when that ended in 11/2022 they gave me the then current $99.99/year plan and then this November it was the $139.99/year plan. Nothing was grandfathered.

I'm on the existing plan from last year with the Disney Plus no ads for $10.98 and just got a statement credit from Amex for 7 bucks. Thanks OP!

Same as you, had D+ since it's inception. I am grandfathered in on a $2.99 price for ad-free D+ as part of my Hulu (w/ads) subscription. I basically pay $6/mo for Hulu (ads) and D+ (no ads). If I cancelled the D+ subscription, I could not get it back for $2.99 for ad-free.
