The deal itself is incredibly deceptive. Once you add a trade in, the discount changes and isn't a true 25% off. I imagine results are similar with EDU/etc discounts. Prices are also different between the app and website in order to incentivize certain products on the app. For example, the S23 is listed at a much higher price on the app, making it look like you get a massive discount for the S23+. In reality, you can end up getting the 23+ for the same price as the standard 23, which is a difference of $100 after comparing all the different options on both app and website. Quite the headache.
Is anybody aware of what the price of the S23+ was before this promotion? If it was 999, this may still be a good discount, despite it being less than advertised.
I was excited at first since it listed the S23 Ultra at $899 and my wife's S22 Ultra trade at $800, but it turns out that the 25% off is after the trade in. Final price would be $299 instead of $99. Deceptive since it lists the $899 price and up to $800 trade-in price where it's actually up to $600 effective trade-in.
Their previous $150 off was a better deal ($250 final after trade)

Samsung does this sht all the time. Nothing new bit shady if you're not aware of it.
I've been looking for the right deal on samsung.com and on the app. And it is insane how everyday the price is slightly different than the previous few days, and how at each step in the buying process the price goes up and down and up and down with every click. Even when you aren't changing anything.
Which phone? I see S23 Ultra 256GB for 899 both the app and site.
idk.. I tried different browsers.. chrome and safari. Pulls up 1199 for me. Yes S23 ultra 256GB. Tried all colors. No special account type. Just regular gmail personal account.
