All true. And as I get older, I realize this is always true. Each generation feels they have it harder than older generations while older generations often feel they had things harder. Each generation has had different things to contend with.

The more people spend, the higher prices go and the worse it gets for people who are already struggling.

In case you are looking for coupons, here are some I found in my Kroger affiliate, but could show up in other places. I long for the days when stores had displays filled with offers, booklets with coupons and good sales. Couponing is getting harder. You have to have a degree in mathematical gymnastics and illogical equations. You also have to master the art of reading between the lines, deciphering codes, and interpersonal communications with all cashiers and store managers.

Found the following coupons:

Ben & Jerry's pint or 8oz bag of Cookie Dough Chunks, $1/1, x 12/31/23. (limit 2 in transaction, excludes mini Cups, doggie desserts or 3 oz Dough chunks)

Cheetos Mac 'N Cheesy Ranch flavor and one additional box any flavor, $1/2,x 3/31/24

Idahoan Mashed Potatoes, buy 2 Buttery Homestyle 4 oz, get one Hidden Valley Ranch 4 oz free, max value $1.99, x 12/31/24 -- long expiration date

I shop with just inserts (no ip's or Ibotta offers) but after what happened with my last coupon order it's only dq's and store coupons now. Somehow I make it work but don't ask me how. Each week seems like it will be impossible to buy anything. If RA closes that probably will be the final straw.

I agree that for so many people, couponing is getting harder. Fewer coupons, fewer people willing to share their deals, fewer of us getting the good coupons those who do share their deals get all factor in.

While I've been able to get deals at CVS, I see fewer and fewer couponers at the store. Even when I do see other couponers, they are doing smaller deals, paying more out of pocket, looking confused, etc. Even the cashier at CVS commented to me the other day that she's seeing more and more 'fails' at the register, where couponers expect their deal to work out and it isn't. While that's always happened at CVS, it is because the mathmatical gymnastics to make it work are not for the faint of heart.

This is funnier than anything I can come up with. It's from the front page deal on a refill of Softsoap hand soap.

I find it somewhat cumbersome to refill smaller bottles with this one (I have to squeeze it really hard and it's slow) - is there an easier way?
