No jellys. I posted above about my awful Walmart trip this morning. Ralphs wasn't any better. The night shift guy wasn't looking and slammed into my shopping cart. I'm like wtf. The thing is without any coupons you have to be perfect. You can't make any mistakes. I made two huge mistakes with Poise and Revlon by not clipping last week. I'm sure that there are other coupons that I should've clipped. I can't do stuff like this. Now I'll have 2 weeks instead of 1 to think about how stupid I am.

That's true. People on SD are of course the exception. I'm talking about the general public. We just had covid. What kind of person spits on the street? I see it all of the time. Or people leaving their used tissues in the shopping cart. Like I'm supposed to take it out and clean the cart. If you're that sick, why are you at Walmart anyway? I guess you don't care that you'll make other people sick. That's what I meant. People just don't care. I can't imagine anyone on SD being so inconsiderate.

Another thing, while I'm on my rant, is the people who throw their mask out in the parking lot. Wtf. Somebody has to pick it up. How hard is it to drop it in the trash? Or people who cough right as they walk into the store. That way they infect everybody who comes in or out. It's almost like coughing is a greeting. Instead of saying hi they cough in your face.

I agree that not everyone is this way, but unfortunately I always seem to be around the folks who are. Many just seem to not care if they pass their germs along to others and some are just slobs when it comes to used tissues, masks, etc. Maybe folks that have other problems to contend with, like you and I do, just seem to notice these things more.

I think that people know if they say anything it will end up in a fight and somebody will pull out a phone and your face will be all over YT and they'll be calling you Karen.

I never, ever say anything even though I'd often like to. I don't need a fight (I'm sure I'd be on the losing end) and one never knows who is carrying a gun, many who have no clue when and how they should be using it. I certainly don't need more physical problems added to the ones I already deal with everyday.

While y'all are out shopping, if anyone sees any Peter Rabbit/Beatrix Potter items in the new Easter sets, please take pictures and post them here for me. I probably have many of what they might put out, but you never know!

It could be Walmart, Target, TJMaxx, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, CVS, Walgreens, any of the Home shops. Walmart had some new things last year, and CVS had a couple of new - but similar to old - things last year. The year before, I got a few things thanks to heads up here at Walmart & CVS, but I was too late to TJMaxx. In years past, Target had a few unique things.

I thought that the ads last week were bad but they're like a Rolls Royce compared to this week. What a crummy way to start off the new year. At least Wags has some oral care deals (but not much else). I don't see a damn thing at CVS and RA. I couldn't care less about Christmas clearance this year. The gift sets sucked compared to previous years. The worst was Raw Sugar. How cheap can a company be? I've never tried their products so a gift set sampler was a good idea but couldn't they have included a full size product? Those small samples were ridiculous. Not a good way to promote yourself Raw Sugar.

Our stores here had literally no gift sets that made it past 50%. I guess people are so desperate for a deal that 50% off sounded good.

My Vons had a ton of the Gillette and Venus gift sets but they weren't part of the clearance according to the person who was marking everything down. Christmas went to 75% off on Monday morning but when I went to the store again that evening it was all gone. They couldn't have sold it all. I was at a different Vons today and they had a bunch of Christmas Febreze and Airwick at 50% off but I didn't see any other Christmas clearance.

I don't know how the stores make money on holiday items because they have to sell so much of it at a steep discount. Unless they buy it at 75% off, they have to be losing money and even at a cost of 75% off it can't be worth the trouble of setting up the area and then taking it down. I wonder what they actually pay for a $10 gift set and if they get a credit when they start marking them down.
