FALL-WINTER 2023 Shopping Fun and Frustrations!!!!

There's a $10 for 10 deal on Pepsi at Vons this week and free 20 oz Pepsi for the weekend. Did you get the same thing at Safeway? I don't like the 2L bottles so I'm probably not going to do the deal. The last time RA had Pepsi on sale like this, which I think was for Black Friday, I gave it all away to the employees (it was a lot) and I heard that LP wasn't very happy about it. I don't know if RA still has a LP dept these days lol. I went back to RA today. I hadn't been there in over a month and I've only been 2 or 3 times in the last 3 months (mostly due to health issues). One of my stores closed while I was gone which leaves me with only one store within 45 minutes of me. At the store that's still open, half of the staff is being laid off. The truck is every 2 weeks now. I wanted to see if I would get any receipt coupons so I looked around for clearance. They had a bunch of Degree Unlimited deodorant for $2.99 and there was a nice $2 tearpad right by them. I can't ask for more than that. I got a coupon on most of my cards 8/40, 6/30, and 2/10. I forgot to print the 15/50 so I couldn't do any deals. Do you have a plan for this week? I was thinking Dove and Colgate. I have tearpad coupons for Dove and the $5/3 dq for Colgate. I have no idea what the monthly deals are. They had tons of the Vitamin E things but I don't have any coupons. I'm wondering if I should be happy with the Degree Unlimited and call it a day or jump back in. The oop is going to be high but I love the 10/30 at the end of the month (if RA is still open). I went to Wags and did the Gain/razor deal. I got Colgate to use the RR's to pay for the Gain. Then I did Scott. It's the 4=7 that's on sale not the 6-pack. I wasn't happy about that but it's still a good deal with the double stack. I got 6 Wags bags to get to $40. No issues at all yesterday or today. The stores were nice and everything worked like it was supposed to. I think that the problem is with my local store so I'm going to stop going there. I also went to CVS. I had $4 welcome ecb's on 2 cards so I did Maybelline/ Essie, Nivea Men's, and Boost. I came in for the razor deal but they didn't have stock. That's the deal that I was talking about in my earlier post. I think that the best way to do it is with 2 Mach 3's and 2 Gillette disposables (and skip the shaving gel). The razor deals are really good next week but I wonder if the dq's will reset. I should still be ok if they don't. It was a lot of shopping today but I didn't get that much. I told RA that I'd be back at around 5 with my 15/50's but I'm too tired and I have to think that there's a better way to do the deal than how I'm doing it.

I was going to get one 12.99 - 5dQ and 11.79 in a separate transaction - $4dQ but ended up scrapping it when I went back and there were no 11.79 BW left (I could have done 12.99 - different $4dQ)

Latest noise on my FB group is all about allergy med clearance, which has DQs and gives back BC - plus some of the other rebates. I just checked again and it appears Ravi made a video about it, so check that out if you go back.

That's amazing you got the x/xx - on receipt? I haven't heard of anyone getting CATs this month. I had a 10/50 and 5/25 earned last week that expired this week so I HAD to use them, of course. Maybe you get them on the 1st transaction of the month even if it's this late... I should try a caramel on my dormant one.

re: Pepsi, DH likes soda once in awhile. He weaned himself off it and drinks mostly fizzy water now, and may drink a little of a 2 liter and toss the rest when it's a freebie. Or I take it to family gatherings. It's such a treat for him now, he doesn't care how he gets it LOL

I didn't see it in our SW ad but wasn't really looking.

I saw the video about a $200 mm shopping trip at RA so I went there this afternoon. I took notes from the video but got very confused when I got to the store because I didn't know exactly what the deals were and the dq's were doing some weird things (in my favor). Dove stock was wiped out and Colgate wasn't priced. The clearance was well organized but some of it was full price. It was very picked over by someone who knew about one deal but didn't know about the other ones. She'll never have restless legs again (inside joke). I could've done a couple of $25 mm transactions but I couldn't pull the trigger so I left without getting anything. I should be able to do my yard sale tomorrow morning if I can finish before the rainstorm comes. I loaded my car this morning which turned out to be a smart move. I'm still having chest pains so might go to hospital on Sunday or Monday. I probably won't be on here much if at all next week.

I went to WAGS to get greeting cards that I had to mail. I went to type in my phone number into the keypad, and the cashier cleared that screen. She kept scanning my cards, having difficulty. I said I wanted to put my phone number in. She gave me a hard time, saying it was useless, don't get anything for cards or gift cards. I said i still want to enter it. She put the screen up to enter it, and it gave me the option to use my points.I used them, my receipt printed, and she was angry, no thank you or anything.

I can relate. I went to WAGS with Bullwinkle the other day. I was having a bad hair day and I asked the cashier if she could help me find the mousse and she gave me a really funny look...
