I got 2 more dish soaps. They didn't restock so I dug around the back of the shelf and found them. This is such a good deal. Has anybody found the 80 cent Downy beads that I've been reading about? I think that Kroger has them. Cotton scent. A guy was wiping out the frozen section this afternoon. He must've had 40 dinners in his cart.
thanks for HU on Palmolive - I wouldn't have looked at my Just4U and saw that norcal has it, too.
.99, limit 1

I still have a bunch of Dawn from old CVS deals but planning on $50 (earn 200 rewards) deal and this is a good filler! I would never have predicated I could spend $50 but since I pretty much gave up the DS game, I have to pay for some food.

CVS gave me $4, I was able to roll it into Crest/Oral B 2/$8, - 2 x $2dQ, get 4ecb. Paid .32oop.
And turned around, spent $4ecb on food (not taxed). I'm actually almost out of tp that DH will use - I automatically donated all the stuff I used to get. Strange days.

RA was my place for paper products. I greatly miss all of those free deals. I need paper towels again. I'll probably go to Wags. Scott is bogo50% (I think, not 100% sure) and I think there's also an IVC. Scott is my least favorite brand but it's hard to find a deal on something that I like. I got some paper towels at Vons the other day. They were the ones that said comparable to Sparkle and they were on sale 2 big rolls for $1.99. They weren't bad. Much better than Scott.

I can't figure out why my Vons gets in all of these delivery trucks but they never restock the ad items. They sell out on the first day and that's it. I found 2 more Palmolives this morning for a total of 6 so far. They're on the bottom shelf and pushed way in the back so you have to dig around to find them. I'm positive that there are no more left so I'll be watching to see if any more come in. I have no dish soap now so my goal was 4 and I'll give the other 2 away. I go to Vons for a bagel every morning. Vons bagels used to be really good but now they're only so-so. My favorite was the energy bar but they discontinued it and the blueberry ones used to be a lot better than they are now. Anyway, these two ladies are coming in and buying out the bagels first thing in the morning. Every couple of days. I was lucky to get one today. I got a sesame. The bagels were overcooked (as usual) and the sesame ones looked the best. There was a guy last night who was buying out the frozen food. He must've had 40 or 50 tv dinners in his cart. Have you ever had the potato wedges at Vons? They're a hot item at my store. People line up for them and buy them by the pound. Even when a fresh batch comes out, you might not get any because there will be people ahead of you. One guy said that he waited over 30 minutes for them yesterday. They're worth the wait. My J4U is $4.34 per pound and I'll get a 1/2 pound. They only problem is that they aren't very filling. With all of the walking I'm doing, I can walk them off. I live very close to Vons and I'll usually walk an extra mile or two if I'm getting them. My cardiologist wouldn't be happy about it but I need something in my life to make me happy.

How have things been for you? I miss our talks. RA is out of bankruptcy. What do you think will happen? I'd love to shop there again for detergent, paper products, and vitamins. Those were the days...

OMG, we just had an earthquake. The back of my neck is all messed up. I can feel some aftershocks. It was different than usual. My building was moving west to east. I can still feel the rumbling. I hope that I don't have whiplash.

I hope you're okay after the quake. When I was a little girl in San Bernardino area, we used to look up and idly wonder if it was a sonic boom or quake, and go back to playing.

There wasn't the prediction of a "Big One' coming AFAIK, so quakes were no big deal. I think wondering if THIS ONE is it makes them scarier even to native Californians.

RA in controlled by the recievers, from what I've read, and I'm going to guess they won't be as generous as when we got regular x/xx CATs, reusable flu 5/25, etc. I can see why not many BC deals when there is no stock. A clerk who seems to have his ear to the ground told me back in July that the stores should start being restocked in mid Sept - so maybe soon?
I have BC expiring 9/26
I decided to go ahead and kick in real money last month, to take advantage of 15/50 in ad. I still did better on things I needed than I would have done buying them outright anywhere else.

BCC are back, which is a good sign anyway. Haven't shopped since then so don't know if they're tracking. My "number of visits" BCC requires TWO trips - an all time low-and my top tier on the other offers is low - like 9-$12 so if we still get $70 for completing all 10, that will be a nice MM.

My favorite PT is Viva, I like the stretchy. It's 8.99/6pk next week, 3bc wyb 2 and 5/35 IAQ. I don't know if that's better than Scott deal. I got some Viva last month b/c there wasn't stock or bc offers on much else but otherwise still using pre-Pandemic stuff. I think DH finally opened a case I have in our garage loft (I don't climb up there anymore -last time I did I broke my foot falling from the ladder).

I used to get a lot of free bagels from SW deals. I think I "cured" DH of them forever. LOL.
I've never tried the tatoes, I'm not a big potato fan so never thought of it. I'll keep it in mind. I have 3 SW in a reasonable distance but 2 don't feel very safe, and of course the one that does is the smallest, has SW gas station and is in a high-density building development so there is ALWAYS a line in the deli (where I presume you get them), and I've never gotten anything there.

Not a fan of crowds, and I shop like I'm on a mission & don't like standing around. Keeping focused helps me not get agitated when it is crowded. I actually do not like shopping and coupon-ing helped a lot I go for pre-planned scenarios and don't have to dither about what's the best price per ounce or if I should get one or 2 or what brand is best...

RA and SW are the last of the golden oldies for my coupon-ing adventures. CVS occasionally gives me $4, I was able to use it yesterday, free Crest/Oral B, earned 4ecb and spent if (on chocolate Big GrinEmbarrassment right away. I haven't had great success at Target, I can't get Circle to work in-store so have to do pick up & they always mess it up or OOS. I found out that they refund tiny amounts, I used 2 GCs and my rewards, and for $2 refund they put something like 1.50 back on rewards, a few cents per GC AND issued another GC for .40.

I'm going to Grocery Outlet more - ours is really nice. Clean, some very good deals, really friendly staff. I used to shop GO and MacFrugals a lot before I discovered couponing.

Wish it had been a better year for gardening, I used to be doing a lot of preserving (freezing or dehydrating) when the weather cooled, as it is starting to do.I have a few peaches that aren't critter bit, about the size of an apricot, and a new volunteer tree with even tinier fruit -and most of it pit- that tastes like white peach. They are lt green/yellowish when ripe. Maybe as the tree matures it will have better fruit.

Since everything seems upside down these days:
Hope Friday the 13th is lucky for everyone!!

I loved Grocery Outlet before the pandemic. I could always go in there and find a cart load of things I wanted at unbelievable prices but the last 4 years have been awful. I usually walk out empty handed.

I haven't been to RA since early Feb. All of my local stores closed and since I'm only walking these days, I can't go to the stores that are farther away. I saw on a coupon site that there's a $5/2 Nature's Truth coupon and I almost cried with this week's bogo free and 10/30 ad. It brought back really good memories.

I love Viva but I don't like Scott even though they're made by the same company.

I'm hanging in there with CVS but every day is a challenge. Digital couponing is so hard for me. I don't think that I'll ever get the hang of it. I had paper couponing at CVS wired but now I'm like a rookie and a bad one at that. There's always an exclusion or something that I overlooked. If one of my transactions actually works, it's a miracle. It's like Moses parting the Red Sea.

Not sure how I missed your post or that you had an earthquake. In fact, I watched the national news last night and don't remember them mentioning it.

I could say something very political but I am trying hard to keep my comments about politics to a minimum.

Snip snipped your post a bit. Wink

I just have to say, with couponing being as bad as it has been lately, I have actually kickec in some real money at Walgreens too lately because I did better on things I needed there than I could anywhere else by getting back WG cash. There's one really near us and I've been using my WG cash to take advantage of decent prices on clearance, food and vitamins there.

Hoping Friday the 13th is good for everyone too. I am struggling with a dishwasher issue right now, but since it was noticed the first time a few weeks ago and raised its head last night, it can't be attributed to today. Just keeping my fingers crossed that it is an easy and reasonably priced fix.

Quakes are a part of life in SoCal. You just go on with your business unless it's like the 1994 quake which had aftershocks for months. The aftershocks were strong enough to send tv's flying across the room. People were very freaked out in 1994 but the one yesterday is already forgotten.

Yep, the later (earlier) it is, the more verbose I get.
Running off at the keyboard.

It WAS a decent Friday the 13th - did a $50 transaction at SW and didn't need CS! I read a post-I think it was yours - that said dQs applied to item in online cart may not come off. I had to go through reg. checkstand as SCO has 15 item limit now, and had go outside to get a phone signal but sure enough, I had tested in cart and forgot to empty online cart.
And everything worked as planned - not my usual experience with checkstands.
I even got the very last stock of a few things on my list.

One weird (unlucky?) thing - I did a couple of small transactions in SCO first, when I pulled my wallet out it snagged my car key fob, it hit/bounced off my foot and was GONE. I was crawling around the floor after a few minutes, and finally spotted it under the terminal, right up against a piece of metal so it blended in. I'm too danged old to get down on my knees but it was one of my better days so I got up without assistance LOL.

Ok, not anything most of y'all would be interested in, but I had the opportunity to buy some collectibles online over a week ago. Hubby is supportive of me buying them, but he doesn't know exactly how much I bought or how much I spent. He's been out of town since Tuesday and won't be back until the middle of next week. I was hopeful they would arrive while he was gone so I could put a few things up to show him on another day. Of course there was a minor issue, and the box is expected to arrive the day he comes home. I don't tend to spend as much as he does on fun stuff, so it's not really a big deal, but I might not have been clear on just how much I bought.

I'm going to be outed next week! laugh out loud

I was going to make a joke but then I took a look at antique toothpick holders on Etsy and they're pretty cool.

Are you into Trader Joe's canvas bags? Red hot right now. YT influencers are wearing them and everybody has to have one. Very limited supply and people are lined up around the block. For a $2.99 tote bag. I've heard that people were getting $500 for them on ebay before the new shipment came in. It hit today and it's already sold out. Only 500 per store and it will probably be 3 months before the next batch hits.

I have not been, I guess I should have! I don't shop Trader Joe's and don't follow influencers, so I'm uninformed on this. Wink
