I'm not a fan of oven style air fryers with a glass door and shelves.
You generally have to move food around in an air fryer to get even cooking. This is way easier in a basket style vs oven style. You can usually just open the drawer and shake the food around. Can't do that in an oven style. Also, lots of food will pop oil and fat inside in an air fryer. Super easy to clean the basket style by throwing the drawer and basket in the dishwasher. You'll get oil and fat splattered all around the inside of an oven style, along with all over the glass door. Not fun to clean. Just my opinion from using both and returning the oven style.

Agreed, but teflon coated air fryers are non-starter for me, which is why the Instant Pot Crisp multi-cookers with air frying are unmatched for safety, versatility, and ease of cleanup. Most air fryers are Teflon coated, and the toaster oven fryers are at least stainless steel, but a disaster to clean up every time as you said.

Just picked this up a couple weeks ago to replace an old breville oven that I have had for 7-8 years. That old oven completely replaced my full size oven for my wife and I. Heats up faster, doesn't use as much energy, doesn't heat up the kitchen, etc.

Love this so far. Some of the reviews I have read online DON'T say a lot of positives of the airfrying function, but I find I am quite impressed with the quality and crispiness of the food.

All the other functions work great as well. Use a lot of baking, broiling, toasting, reheating, etc. The app is nice icing on the cake but nothing amazing. I use it mostly for the notifications that food is ready.

I got the camelcamelcamel alert on this earlier this morning and picked it up. Was also waiting a while for the sale on the black stainless steel version.

I agree I owned the previous version of this breville smart oven pro with air fryer and it was a hassle opening the glass door pulling out the metal tray and flipping the food. Pain in the butt to clean the glass every time.

Thanks for the advice! Any recommendations on basket styles? Or what to look for?

... but for air frying only... this does so much more and/or isn't mostly plastic and/or has much better build quality than anything at that price point.
