For what it's worth, the Tapo app recently added support for (most?) Kasa devices, so you can still manage them all in one place easily. You can sign in using the same TP-Link account you would have already created for Kasa, and it should prompt you to auto-add all your existing devices. I'm also still all on Kasa, so I can't say if there is any weirdness stemming from mixing the two product lines in one environment, but the app seems to at least have feature parity with the old Kasa app.
No, there are currently no plans to phase out Kasa in the US. Kasa is important to us here, and we will continue to release new products to the Kasa product line throughout the foreseeable future.
Love the non-motion kasa stuff, have loads of it. Tried this motion sensor switch and found the motion sensor function to be unusable. Turned on and off randomly when it shouldn't. Disabled the motion function and just use it like a standard kasa dimmer. FYI the whole lineup is getting updated with Matter compatible versions, many are already available.

It's definitely not 40% off the single and 44% off the double. I ordered this 10 days ago and it's $4 cheaper. Remember to check camelx3 to confirm pricing instead of believing Amazon's "deal".
Decent price if you were already looking, but avoid if you think this is a deal.

I see C3 is showing this to be the lowest pricing since inception of this product posting on Amazon.

bought one last year, and stop to work last month. It said two years warranty, I contact the manufacturer, they said they could do a replacement, but I have to pay the shipping. Kind of not worth the time and shipping cost.
If you want to use your iPhone to control this, I'd buy the Apple HomeKit-enabled versions. It is seamless linked to Apple Home and nice to control from more places.
I have some older switches and I have to open the Kasa app (which isn't nearly as convenient).
I have lots of Kasa stuff in my home and I really like it. But the rumor of discontinuation of the brand turned me off investing into the eco system further.
Any updates on this? I think it was called Tapo*(edit) or something that they were trying to migrate to

But u can also use alexa or google instead of apple. Any benefits? Other than privacy issues

That sucks, I bought a bunch of KASA stuff thinking it would stay for a while since I have TP Link routers.

Kasa is important to us and a well establish brand in the US with no plans to discontinued. We in fact will be lauching new products including a doorbell through out 2022.

If you have the means and patience you can setup home bridge. The Kasa plugin is fantastic and makes these feel like native HomeKit devices.

You mean it shows lowest price on C3 but not since inception of the product. It was launched late 2021 and C3 didn't track it until afterwards. Not to mention coupons and lightning deals are not tracked by C3. Yes the two pack is $4 cheaper but $2 off is hardly a "deal". It's certainly not 40-44% off. C3 is a nice tool but it's not foolproof.

Edit: tp-link has a FAQ page about the Kasa/Tapo integration here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/suppor...%20dev
