The touchpad on this is extremely subpar but I don't see any other wireless keyboards with this form factor so I've been using it for a few years. It's not a good experience each time I use it though

I still don't see why they didn't fuse this design with the K380 to have the multi-device switching ability of that one along with the built-in trackpad and experience of this one.

Because then they couldn't charge double the price to have multi-device switching ability. You don't undercut your own products.
