Any opinion on the best bang for your buck here?

I saw the other thread for the Joule version in brushed black stainless steal, but $449 feels like overkill and probably is since this would be my first multi purpose unit like this.

As a note, I am unlikely to use the air fry function much at all. I prefer the basket style and will have a cheap one as a companion to whichever Breville I may pick up.

I love the air fryer option from my Breville. Granted I've noticed that most basket air fryers make crispier wings but the baskets are made from plastic which I'm not a fan of.

Which one do you have? Coming from a cuisinart, seems to work well, but ready for a replacement. Have read the air fry on these brevilles is not the best. Maybe the joule is the best one.

Main use will be air frying, but some light cooking too

I have the BOV900BSS model and I can tell you it's one of the best appliances in my house. I highly highly recommend it.

It you don't want the air fryer, I'm going on 10 years with the BOV800XL. Love it. My oven hasn't seen any use since I got it.

You don't want to use air fry in these anyway, the splash is difficult to clean from the interior. We've had BOV845BSS for five years and I think it's the best bang for the buck. It's the large size, has an interior light, and separate knobs for time and temperature (the compact and mini use a single toggle knob). The next step up is a big difference in price to the 860 air fry model.

I've had the BOV900BSS for almost 5 years now. Definitely one of my favorite kitchen appliances. Zojirushi rice cooker being the other.

IMO, the air fryer is great for reheating things like fried chicken, but I wouldn't cook anything that splatters a lot in it since clean up isn't easy.

I went with the 900 for 2 reasons: size and # of heating elements. Size for obvious reasons and more heating elements for more even cooking.

Is there a way to split payment for those of us with multiple chase cards? If possible, would both offers track?

I do. I think its a good microwave. But not a great oven or airfryer. It does bake and the airfryer does work well enough. I like it cause my kitchen is super small so i had to pick microwave or countertop toaster oven and this gave me a bit of all the options.

Being that it's larger, I get the increase in heating elements. The smaller ones don't need them really.
