I paid $1200 including tax and 2 yr Samsung care warranty couple of days ago. This is good price. It's a great tv.

These are very well known to have quality control issues. That's why you frequently see Samsung's 55" QD-OLEDs on sale for less than regular OLEDs from LG and Sony. As long as you get a good one, you're solid, but these have a much higher defect rate than LG and Sony OLEDs.
