I purchased these when I first got my Nespresso machine and they were not good. Perhaps they've changed.

They also were plastic pods. Perhaps they've also changed that.

Simply looking at the most recent reviews will answer the question whether aluminum or plastic

I didn't realize it was the Plastic Capsules. That explains the great price, but these are always a pretty good price.

I prefer the aluminum capsules, so I'm using these faster than I normally would - you know that plastic can't keep fresh for as long.

Tastes much better than I expected though, so I've been enjoying them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Weak and minimal taste

Tried because of the price but not impressed. In espresso mode it tastes like a weak drip coffee. It's a bit better is ristretto but still nothing special and bitter. The pods themselves are plastic, packaged well and worked well in my machine.

I ordered from this company before but did not realize that they also sell plastic capsules. I got them for 10 cents each for the plastic. Its a good deal but I always prefer aluminum. I would not have ordered if I read correctly. They will be good backup pods.

Wish people would call these what they are, capsules. I need pods for my espresso maker.

In for this deal; I tried a couple of Bestpresso capsules I had from a previous order to be sure and they were good but not great, aluminum, and probably better than Lavazza, which are (the ones I drink) overrated and plastic. BTW, I drink about three a day so price is a major consideration, so $0.13 much better than $0.70/cup IMHO.

Quote from Davemah :
I'm a heavy Nespresso capsules consumer so I have to find some way to make few "economic" coffees in the mix. I ordered this without much expectations since I only like Nespresso and Starbucks pods and sometimes Peet's. These were not too bad for the value. With two stronger pods I could make a good latte. I take them in latte and macchiato drinks so with some frothed milk it tastes okay. I prefer them over Lavazza and many other generic pods.
This is the way I look at these pods. I have quality pods that I consider "espresso grade" that I'll drink by themselves and I have cheap ones like this I think of as "latte grade" that I'll throw in if I want a goofy drink with frothed milk and a flavored syrup. Starbucks built their whole business on hiding how crap their espresso is by covering it up with lots of milk and flavors. If you're making those type of drinks, you're not exactly appreciating the subtle flavors of the espresso, you're just having a milky snack with a hint of coffee.
