Picked up the ryzen 5 5600x for 139.00 (after taxes) from this seller (Antonline) so far no issues and shipping was fast at least for me. Ty Sd for that find. After seeing this, I'd of jumped on this deal if it was available prior.
Atm, Amazon has this at 189 and
Newegg at 191.
For anyone looking to upgrade please note:
Your mobo should match socket size for the cpu. Not sure about that? Go to pcpartpicker and you can find compatibility / issues with your build.
Edit: if the stock cpu fan is anything like the one that comes with the 5 5600x please get yourself an aftermarket cpu fan if you want to game or put some stress on your computer.
Good luck and happy building.

It's been well over a decade since I've built a new system for my rig - I'm still running a frigin x58 platform from nearly 15 years ago! I feel like it's finally about time to do some upgrades this x-mas season.
Was hoping to upgrade my cpu this year but other expenses get in the way. Looking like next spring or summer for me. I'm gonna assume to see a similar deal or better on this by then. I wouldn't even think about jumping ship to AM5 until ryzen 8000 is out and that's not gonna be for about a year

Hey there sorry for late reply. Usually with mobos I look at what I need. If you are ok with ddr4 as your ram then this board is pretty good for the price range. Good reviews too.
Note I don't think it has Wi-Fi antenna so make sure you either have Ethernet run to it or have some sort of Wi-Fi usb( which I don't recommend unless it's a really good one )
It's got 4 Slots for ram and you really only need a cpu fan. Ex cooler master 212 hyper.
Lastly, make sure the board is ryzen series ready. You can look at reviews and it should tell you. Firmware updating can be a pain from what I read.
But overall you should be good. Happy building.

Hey Thanks for the reply man. I sent you a reply to your PM. Hopefully you got it. It doesn't show anything in my "Sent" folders however - I don't know if it's just buggy Slickdeals interface not showing it or if it failed to send for whatever reason so just let me know if not and I can try and reply again.
Has anyone got a shipping confirmation from this seller yet? I even sent him an email for a follow up recently and it's just been straight radio silence. 🫤

I ended up cancelling my order. I don't know why people like this ebay vendor. He *finally* responded to me after multiple days leaving me in limbo after he charged my CC, days before even attempting to ship (nearly all modern online stores don't charge until shipped), and then asked that I give him 5 star review. Like wtf? Yeah, you demonstrated really good salesmanship, surely I should praise you publicly. 🙄 Ebay... even after two decades since its inception, STILL gives me sketchy vibes.

What motherboard do you recommend for this CPU? I've been seeing this motherboard recommended a couple times here on SD in the past think it'd be a good match? : MSI PRO B550-VC ProSeries Motherboard (AMD AM4, DDR4, PCIe 4.0, SATA 6Gb/s, M.2, USB 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI/DP, ATX) [amazon.com]
