WARNING CONSUMERS:
Pixel 8 Pro owners complain about display bumps

TLDR: Doesn't look like display bumps are a real issue and are only visible with the screen is off. They have no functional impact (according to google)

Their processing doesn't need all those pixels. It's not capturing 'additional' data. That's not physically possible because of the sensor size. Their trick is to take several photos quickly and combine them.
my pixel 2 took incredible photos. all subsequent budget phones have taken WORSE photos than that pixel 2. only their flagships have taken better photos, and it's very arguable considering you're looking at these photos on a 6" screen. Who cares about all that resolution?

50MP is snake oil. If it wasn't, everyone would still be using the Nokia Lumia 1020.
And for those people that truly believe that GOOGLE would never equip a phone with an egregious sensor size just to sell their storage service, I have a bridge to sell you. Remember, ALL of these companies will readily charge you a premium for a higher storage tier, even though the storage costs them pennies.
Am thinking about switching and I would go Fi along with these prices!

Other than taking the photo as raw, I can't even find a setting that allows me to save it as 50 MP natively
