24 Hour Fitness just launched their Black Friday deal. It says BOGO but it's basically a 2 year membership for the price of a 1 year membership on their Platinum level.
This level offers nationwide access and 2 buddy passes. The buddy passes feature means you can bring any 2 people in with you every day you go to the gym. It doesnt have to be the same people every time and it lasts the entire duration of your membership. Great deal for roommates that work out together.
There looks to be a 29.99 annual fee as well.

Includes access to GX24® studio, cycle & virtual classes

Pre-pandemic Costco sold 24 Hour Fitness 2-year ALL-CLUB SUPER-SPORT Membership eCertificates for $649 w/ occasional $50 off. This deal is cheaper plus added buddy pass benefit.
Great deal for family or friends who tend to workout together regularly..

They had this same sale last year. Although what you say still may be true.
I wonder if any current members were able to bypass this.
When they reopen or get bought out, the honor existing membership agreements. I still have mine from 2004.

This was true with the old Costco deals, I doubt they can really stop you.
