These are passive speakers (sigh). You'll need an amplifier or receiver to power them. A $70. Aiyima A07, and these will blow away >95%+ of the sound bars in existence and compete well with the $5-10k soundbars... and they aren't even my favorite budget speaker. I have the jbl A130's, which I preferred to these. That being said, these are solid speakers.
