Yeah I think if you have the 10% tech on top of this and a redcard then it's best to pull the trigger. Can always hold it in box in case it goes lower (which I kind of doubt).

I really wanted to buy this until I saw more than a handful of reviews saying it's not worth upgrading to from the 1st gen max.

Yeah, it's not. It's the exact same experience. Stick with the fire stick you have until it dies.

This one has double the storage, which is what I find enticing. My insignia fire tv has run out of space. I'm guessing the tv OS is larger than the normal fire stick OS though.

Weird Target charge regional fee if I want to do a store pick up, might as well have them ship it to me for free and save gas and time

Does anyone know if you can trade in a Tivo Stream 4k to get credit? Or did Amazon stop the trade in credit towards fire sticks? Tivo stream is so buggy.

I pulled the trigger after some deliberation.
Traded in a old fire stick for 10% off and a $3 amazon bonus in form of GC was added automatically

Making the final price: 32.99 + tax.

Additional memory + faster processor + wifi 6 capable. Seems like a decent upgrade
