Be warned that the wifi is useless. They did some terrible wifi stack implementation and very few people can get these to connect and operate with the app.
The good news is you can do what you need to on the UI which works well (I've had mine for about 6mo)

I am loving hydroponics and aerogardens are the best way to get started. I built a rail system that holds 50+ herbs and lettuce/spinach that I'm about to begin trying out. I haven't figured out a good way to do tomatoes outside the harvest xl or farm. I want to build a Tupperware system for 4 to 6 cherry tomato plants

If you look on aerogarden forums various Wi-Fi issues are a common problem.
