Locked for 6 months.

Speaking of MetroPCS, I recently switched from cricketwireless to Metro for the $49 S23 FE, and I can't wait to switch back to an ATT NVMO, maybe even back to Cricket. It's true what they all say. Using T-mobile towers does not mean T-mobile coverage. The NVMOs definitely do not have access to all of T-mobile towers. My friends with T-mobile gets great receiption at my house. For me on MetroPCS, there is a quarter mile to half mile radius of dead spot around exactly where I live. My calls would drop right in the middle until I finally get home and get on WIFI calling to resume the conversation. YMMV

Yeah the service quality depends on where you live with any of the mobile phone service providers. The deal with the phone plan with metro can be stopped after one month just don't pay for the next month and make sure autopay is off. Do you have this phone by the way? I was looking at this one or the a54 by Samsung.

I do have that phone. It's more like an S22+ with the SD8 Gen 1 SOC. Feel premium in the hands but do lack features of the true flagship, such as victus glass, proximity sensor. The A54 would be a very close comparison but I picked the S23 FE because it has a faster SOC/CPU.

Nonetheless, will be leaving Metro after this paid month is over.

Thanks for the comparison review, the n30 looks like a good phone on paper and now I have a real world review of it. Thank you!

It's actually 8GB physical RAM, but with the option of adding 8GB virtual RAM. So you can use both at the same time, totaling 16GB RAM

In the way that the GTX 970 had "4GB" of RAM, sure. That extra 8GB is using internal storage as RAM which is way slower.

Of course. But the fact that a budget phone even has 8GB is a win. It's super easy to disable the virtual RAM and is prob a gimmick anyway
