Aldi Stores (
Store Locator [aldi.us]) has
Frozen Honeysuckle brand Whole Turkey for $0.59/lb, limit 2.
Adding the obligatory "YMMV on local store price differences".
Alternatively, they
also have Frozen Butterball brand Whole Turkey for $1.27/lb and
Fresh Honeysuckle brand for $1.99/lb.
Valid from November 15-21, per their latest store ad that I received in SoCal this morning. As of my post today, their
online weekly ad [aldi.us] currently only shows through the 14th, but should update tomorrow on the 15th and reflect these deals.
Who knows if we see cheaper grocery prices on turkey, like in past years we have seen non-Butterball for 49c and Butterball for 87c or less. Inflation is a new variable now. But this is pretty good for sure, at least as a baseline, and typically Aldi competes for the cheapest price. Up to you all to play a game of chicken with turkey pricing.
QA Note: YMMV - Stock/Price varies by Store/Location/Region

However, starting Nov.16 our Giant Eagle has Frozen Turkeys for $0.47/lb.
Speaking of inflation, anyone see the manipulated CPI report yesterday? They said health insurance went down about 35%. That gave me a good laugh. Just last week my health insurance provider said they are raising the price on all health insurance premiums in 2024. If you believe the CPI numbers you can get a frozen Turkey for being a good comrade.
