Thank OP. Considered taking a chance, but after watching that video it's abundantly clear that this is more trouble than it's worth. All the setup, the settings, the tiny little chute, and then the cleanup, etc., you could have already used a nice knife to make all those cuts and moved on. The tiny chute really limits the potential of this, and then keeping up with all those parts…it'll just end up stuffed in a drawer in the kitchen and be seldom used. A proper mandolin would be the way to go if looking for repetitive paper-thin slicing.

The real deal is cleaning the slicer (who doesn't use dishwasher).

Looks identical with no logo. Wonder if it's the same? Is this the best slicer/chopper?

Got this on a deal, now it's at Goodwill. I was left with a wife with a bandaged thumb and a $400 hospital bill.

I knew about that - what if you shop online, but not through the app?
you put in your credit card
address
phone number...that is enough to create other charges on your credit card..

Perhaps if you use a cash card and used a different name and phone number. Still need the right address.

that is what I would do for sure. But put just enough on it for the purchase so if you are spending 24 bucks, just get a 25 dollar visa debit card with no tracking.

Yes, the prices are incredible but the risk of prices to obtain customer information is far to great.

Of course with debit card trying to get your money back is a concern.

I bought this last night. It had said 0% deal claimed. I check this afternoon, and it still said 0% deals claimed. Check the reviews and found it was a PIA to clean and bits of plastic (with pictures) were in the food. Cancelled.

I almost went down this path several months ago but then I discovered my food processor had an adjustable mandoline attachment. Zero risk of hurting yourself AND it does all the "physical" work for me. It was the right path to go down. I can get super thin pieces to make potato chips or make scalloped potatoes.

Got this on Woot some time ago. It's safe but cannot slice on the long side of vegetables. For example carrots can't be very thinly julienned on the long side unlike other mandolins. Otherwise it does save some time.
