You can fly to Japan ($587) and then Taiwan ($228) for about the same price if you wanted to go to both countries.

only caveat is that $228 are budget airlines, you'd pay extra for everything and they have some of the smallest legroom of any airline in the world.

I've done this before, I will never do it again.

my post was about using cheap airlines to travel between Taiwan and Japan.

You're right, but it was an error on my part. I wasn't responding to you, but accidentally did. I just fixed my error and removed your quote. Sorry. I was responding to the thread and how the mod fails to include the options of booking. Why? Because SlickDeals gets an affiliate fee from Booking.com. They don't care if it's not a reputable business. To them, it's all about money, not protecting the SD members.

this is useful price reference for those looking online.

Booking.com and other travel agencies have the same access to "tour group" prices that airlines out of Asia often offer.

it means if I go to a local travel agency that specializes in travel to East Asia, they can get a similar priced ticket.

or buy direct and pay more. everyone has their own comfort levels and points payout they're trying to achieve.
